Going to Egypt was a different & unforgettable trip for me, not planned as I went there for personal reasons with my mum and sister and not the happiest. I am half Egyptian and had only been there when I was a child so I had no real memory of it, just pictures I had been watching for years.
It was great to see the city where my dad grew up and feel a little of what he had always missed back in France. The weather was lovely and a bit chilly at night. People are smiley and friendly. The traffic is absolutely crazy and Dubai roads are quiet next to it. Life is hard in Egypt so I would say not to trust anyone & you can negotiate absolutely everything !

That's it. We are BACK from Maldives' paradise!
Every dream has to end someday, that's what makes it a dream, so unique and beautiful. After stuffing ourselves with doughnuts and looking back at our photos for hours, I feel better now and can go back to work all rested. Madagascar! Here we are. Baobabs, Turtles, Lemurs! Another place I never thought I would visit in my life and I can now my scratch it off my personalized world map: the best present my sister ever got me! I think myself very lucky with all the countries I visited and every time I look at it there are still so many countries left!! That trip was just amazing and here is my little guide if you plan to visit that beautiful island, where to go, what to do and where to stay.
Finally in Positano on the beautiful Amalfi Coast!
Another of my dreams that I had the chance to fulfill and was even better than what I imagined: with my big sister! It took me a while to post that article as I was trying to sort my millions of pictures. We visited Ischia, Capri and Positano which was a perfect itinerary as they are all 1h/1h30 by boat from each other. We managed to go back to Naples by boat from Positano to Salerno and then we took a train from Salerno to Naples. We stayed 3 days in Positano, a few additional days would have been great but it was enough to get lost and discover the pretty little narrow streets covered with flowers, the beautiful ceramics, the granite sellers with giant lemons, the endless stairs. And If there is one thing to do in Positano is to make the most of the stunning view, the colourful scenery & the dreamy sunset. |
