How did I end up in Moscow??? Russia. Freeeeeezing. Minus 20. Walking in the snow on my own, in high heels, fur inside (Thank god). Walking to the metro "Krilatska", 20 minutes from the Red Square, surrounded by Soviet Buildings. Lost in the splendid metro not having a clue where to go because nothing is written in English! On the 15th floor of a soviet tower, on my heated closed balcony, admiring the other towers at night, thinking that what New York must be like.
Life is full of surprises. This one was the most incredible and unexpected experience I ever lived in my life. One door closes, another one opens. Being penniless, after 3 years of paradise life in Thailand, led to me to one of the wealthiest family in the world. If someone would have told me, I would have never believed it.
"What do you want to do when you will be older? Mum asked me when I was 10.
- Architect!...or I will marry a Millionaire! I will spend all my days on a white beach with beautiful white sand and crystal clear water."
I never married one, actually all my partners were always broke. However I worked for one, actually for a billionaire oligarch and its family, as a French Governess. I know what you are thinking. Do Governesses still exist? Yes and they are very important for this kind of family, very good for their image. What was my mission? Teaching French to their children, in which they were fluent already. That was easy. Teaching them manners. That was a very hard task. Being a company for them. That was fun. Being their living toy. That was exhausting (you have to be very sporty and extremely creative or you end up fired very quickly).
Apart from my very special mission, the cold and very heavy doors, I found that Moscow was an astonishing place. Amazing architecture, history. Delicious food (the chef working for the family had 2 stars Michelin). Sushi places everywhere. Nice people, you just need to pierce the ice. Beautiful women (that is not a myth).
