SOLE DXB is an annual festival/trade fair that provides an alternative platform for brands to launch their latest products and stay a step ahead in the region through co-hosting a true grassroots event promoting urban culture in the Middle East.
The latest edition of its annual event will be on November 14th and 15th at Dubai Design District providing cultural enthusiasts an inspirational showcase of fashion with activations from an array of footwear and apparel brands. This year will also see SOLE playing host to a 2-day round robin street-ball tournament with some of the regions best teams. The event will feature workshops and panel discussions from renowned regional and international streetwear brands, designers and artists. Speakers and guests include Filling Pieces designer Guillaume Philibert, The former Global Creative Director for New Era Walé Adeyemi, UK sneaker connoisseur Kish Kash and Daily Paper. Sole will feature works by regional and international artists. Internationally renowned graffiti artists such as Remi Rough and Canadian pop artist TAVA (Antoine Tavaglione) will also make an appearance, creating large-scale murals as public art installations. Another highlight will be the “Sneaker Swap”, where collectors from all over the region can showcase their prized possessions. Puma have supported the event and culture from day one and will be sure to impress with their activation at Sole. PUMASELECT will showcase the AW14 collections with labels Brooklyn We Go Hard, House of Hackney, McQ and Sophia Chang – as well as introducing the CREAM designer collaboration; Ronnie Fieg x PUMA Disc Blaze OG COA Coat of Arms pack. Guests at the PUMA SELECT space include Alife. New Additions include Reebok and a showcase of capsule collections and a workshop by renowned customizer SBTG at Level Shoe District. The space features an art gallery hosting works by Remi Rough and prints from NYC photographer Ricky Powell, a bookshop, a glass box overlooking the basketball court and will carry a variety of international footwear & apparel brands.
