My favourite Christmas presents this year: nothing pricey, just small surprises that give me simple moments of joy, at any time.
The first one sent me back to my childhood. A kaleidoscope. It was invented by a Scottish man in 1817. Thanks Wikipedia! In Greek, "Kalos" means "Beautiful", "eidos" means "Shape" and "scope" means "Examine". Examine beautiful shapes. I am sure all of you spent a lot of hours playing with that a few years ago. The shame of being an adult: everything we do has a purpose. If only we would just focus of having FUN, just like when we were 10. Look inside this strange little green thing and admire what you see. The reality changes and you can turn it as well! I spent 30 minutes playing with it, scrutinizing objects around me, inspected them in different angles: a candle, the pot of Nutella, a cushion, my boyfriend...MAGICAL! Love this kind of present that reminds me that I am still a child.
The second one is also unnecessary and fun."30 days to make your days shine". You never know what you are going to pick. The Positive thinking roulette. The first advice I read is "Avoid alcohol, smoke and coffee" as I am sipping my coffee "Dolce Gusto" at breakfast. Chocolate is not mentioned so everything is fine, I am on the right path!
Anyway, thank you very much Mum! beautiful presents
